The LORD will keep his words - Psalm 12 Minimize

On February 24, 2008, the congregation of Six Forks Baptist Church voted to start a new church.  After over a year of assessment the leadership determined that several barriers prevented us from being the healthy, disciple-making church we believe God desires.  The staff and deacons hammered out a plan for health and unanimously supported “Building the City of God.”

The New Covenant Fellowship began on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, with an auditorium filled to capacity!  It was a glorious beginning for our new church, with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ receiving all the praise.

I would like to invite you to come and learn about our new church on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 PM.  We just began a series on Casually Communicating Christ, based on a book Scott Hildreth and I are currently writing on evangelism.   Come and be the test-case!

A new website will soon be emerging, but until then you may visit this website for information on The New Covenant Fellowship.  This website will be updated regularly, so check back often.

Recently, a wall was removed to make room for more worshippers.  There is a space for you!  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Blessings,

Steve McKinion

WELCOME! Minimize

Welcome to The New Covenant Fellowship, a Christian community in Raleigh, North Carolina where . . .

... God is the sole focus of our worship, where Scripture is the sole source of authority, where authentic community is the sole goal of our work, and where neighbor is the sole recipient of our kindness.

... every person is a disciple-making disciple committed to the inward and outward progress of the Gospel.

... we organize, plan, and budget around these practices and intended outcomes rather than programs.

... we practice Meaningful Membership, where there is a role for every member and a member for every role.

... faithful, godly men lead the congregation into deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, greater fellowship with one another, more effective mission to the lost, and more viable Christian living.

... everyone is welcome to find Jesus Christ, to enjoy Him, and to glorify Him forever.

... people are free to explore and discover the inestimable riches of Jesus Christ as revealed to us in His writtenWord, the Bible.

... people work to make their broader community better as an act of love of God and neighbor.

... we are described as men and women who treasure Jesus Christ above all other things, evidenced by how we teach, how we live, how we plan, and how we execute our plans.

... we are actively planting other churches in our city and around the world.

KID'S QUEST BEGINS!

We are excited about Kid's Quest where we will be teaching our children the Grand Story of the Bible by teaching them the stories of the Bible.  As the weeks go by, our kids (preschool through elementary) will learn the wonderful message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  They will have a great time and be better prepared to be a fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  By tracking along with our Sunday morning Children's Worship, we'll have a ministry to children that is nearly unmatched.

But there is more...  As important as it is for our children to learn the Story of the Bible, it is equally important (if not more so), for us adults to learn it.  Therefore, Wednesday nights will be for ALL AGES, kids and adults.  While our focus will be on our children, every adult will have a place in learning through listening.  If you are an adult who can listen to children tell the Story of the Bible, you can learn from not only hearing the stories of the Bible, but seeing how those story fit together in one Divine Story.  You will NOT want to miss this!

Kid's Quest ends on August 6 with an end of the summer party!
